A huge round of applause for Abrar Rahman of Harmony School of Endeavor – Austin for placing first in the Computer Science: Hardware/ Embedded Systems senior category for his project titled, “Wearables for Parkinson’s Disease Monitoring.” Winning Junior/Senior Division projects advance to the Texas Science and Engineering Fair

Abrar also received the Superintendent Award for Harmony Public Schools – Austin and a Tyrex Group Award. Congratulations Abrar and best of luck at the state science competition! 


Congratulations to Harmony School of Endeavor – Austin 7th grader Josh Chandra for his first-place win at the 2021 Austin Energy Regional Science Festival! His project, “Safe-guarding Children’s Mental Health through User Directed Responses Analyzed by a Keyword Finding Algorithm” won first in the Behavioral & Social Sciences junior division. Josh also received a Broadcom Masters SSP Award. Congrats Josh! We are #HarmonyProud! ?


Harmony School of Endeavor – Austin 6th grader Halil Tunc’s science fair project titled “Lead vs. Aluminum Radiation Blocker” won first place in the Materials Science category at the 2021 Austin Energy Regional Science Festival! Halil also received a Broadcom Masters SSP Award and a U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Naval Science Award Jr. Congratulations! We are #HarmonyProud!


Congratulations to Harmony School of Endeavor – Austin 8th grader Tanvi Lingala for placing 3rd in the junior Behavioral & Social Science division at the 2021 Austin Energy Regional Science Festival! Tanvi also received a Broadcom Masters SSP Award for her winning project titled, “Active vs. Passive Memory.” ??

Congratulations to the Austin Energy Regional Science Festival BEST OF FAIR winners Pratham Babaria and Ethan Chandra of Harmony School of Endeavor! Their project titled, “A Mathematically driven physical analysis and confirmation study of exoplanet HD 189733 b and others in close-by star systems using principles of Machine Learning/Linear Algebra, Bayesian Statistical tests, and Computational Python Programming,” won Best of Fair in the Mathematics category. Best of Fair Senior Division projects advance directly to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. In addition to winning in the first place, the duo received three special awards; Mu Alpha Theta, Regeneron Best of Fair, and Tyrex Group Award. We wish them luck in the international science fair and a huge congratulations! #AEScienceFest

The purpose of this announcement is to inform our HPS communities about changes to the Student Success Initiative (SSI) promotion/retention and retesting requirements for the 2020–2021 school year. In light of past and anticipated impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commissioner of Education has waived grade promotion requirements for students in fifth and eighth grade for the 2020–2021 school year. Notwithstanding anything the contrary in prior policy or procedure, Harmony Public Schools will comply with the Commissioner’s waiver of SSI requirements for this school year.
